OVERSEAS MISSIONS

Crosslinks

For many years now as a Church we have actively and prayerfully supported the worldwide work of Crosslinks. Formerly known as The Bible Churchmen's Missionary Society founded in 1922.

Our current missionary partner to whom we are already giving financial & prayer support is:

Matthews Kide from Tanzania

who became a Christian after hearing a radio broadcast and who has dedicated his life to Jesus ever since. Currently he is studying for a certificate in theology at Kewak Christian Training Centre. We have recently received a letter from Matthews which we share with you below:

Kowak Christian Training Centre

March 2010
Transcript of report from Mathews Kide
“I enjoyed being at home with my family, that is staying a Tature parish, Nyamasanda deanery.  Our church is not a big church.  I assisted in church activities such as preaching evangelism and praying for the sick.
We managed to plant a new church during the holiday.  The church is called Nyanjogu and it is having 26 members.  This new church is where my wife is ministering as evangelist.
My wife Florence had lay training course – three modules at Kowak Bible School now called Kowak CTC.  She likes her ministry.  Florence is gifted in healing ministry that has helped in planting the new church.
In family level we did farming work in our small cassava Shamba.  We need to work hard during the holiday in our farm for the food of our family of three children.  We have planted some maize that we expect to have good harvest between May and June.  God willing what we get from the Shamba will enable Florence in her life with the family.
Pray God can help Florence with the three kids while I am at school for families issues for her without my assisting is a bit tough.  Pray for our first born Phanuel who will join standard two that we can get a means of support him in his studies.
I wish you God’s blessing.”

We continue to pray for Elias Nvoju, John Mapunda and for Furaha our previous missionary partners.

We are also partnering with Lee & Fai Furney (one of our former Ministry Trainees) who together with their new born baby Titus are going to Abuja Nigeria in October to help set up a Bible College to equip students with dependable Bible-handling skills for ministry. This will involve drawing together a small team to establish an indigenous training programme.
