| At St Catherine's we have three main aims, which are explained below. They are: Worship Growth Preparation is offered to those who come to the church for
baptism and marriage. Christianity
Explained courses are held for those who are
exploring their faith or who wish to have a refresher course. SEAN courses have been run for several years now and are greatly appreciated by those who attend. There are four further house groups that meet on a regular basis to learn more of God and His love for us as we look at the Scriptures together. Currently we are studying the Old Testament Book of Malachi who keeps us on our toes, listening for God, encouraging us to be ready to respond to God as He comes to us. Teaching encourages many members of the church to take an
active part in its ministry, in worship and prayer, in leading groups and
supporting pastoral work. Community Awareness We have strong links with the local school with our Children's & Families worker going into the school to take assemblies, to teach the Scriptures and to help with Literacy work. Classes from the school also visit our Church building where they take part in inter active groups in which they learn about how we worship whenever we meet. |
