The prayers on this page are for inspiration, guidance and reflection. Some of them have been used in our Sunday services
I pray for all those that are needing hope, strength and encouragement. Please minister to them now. I pray that you would work in their hearts. Dry their tears. Take away their fears. Be their healer, comforter and provider. You know who is struggling and you know each one by name. Please have compassion and mercy, and may they feel your presence like never before. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
Help our church body to walk in a manner worthy of the calling you have given us. Help us in all our interactions with one another to have humble and gentle hearts. Grant us patience for one another, bearing with one another in love. Grant the body of Christ unity. May we walk humbly with you, God, allowing you to show us our wrongs.
We ask you to help those who are in difficult circumstances in our community. We bring before you the homeless, the unemployed, the lonely and all those for whom life is really hard. Please help them in their difficulties and help us as a church to support them, Amen.
Please be with those who are sitting exams this week. Please be with them throughout this time. Fill their hearts with your peaceful serenity and we pray that in their minds they may think clearly throughout the exam and they are able to answer the questions well. Bring to their minds all that they have learned over the last few months. Thank you Lord that you are always there, Amen.
We pray now for our mission partners. We pray that the work they do reaches out to many people and pray for those who continue to help them in sharing the good news of Jesus. We pray for their safety and pray that you continue to be a guiding light for them. Thank you Lord, Amen.
We pray for you Lord Jesus and give you thanks that we know you and know of your love in our lives. We pray that this Easter your light will shine across the world, showing to all your wonder. We pray that they will want to know you more and more, Amen.
We pray for our church and all churches. We ask that you give them the strength and grace to continue giving your word, showing your love and helping all who come to them, Amen

We live in a world that is full of beauty and reflective of your glory. From towering mountains to deep lying valleys, from the lion’s roar to the peacefulness of birdsong, the blazing sun to the cooling rain. We thank you for the wonder of your creation. O Lord our God how majestic is your name! Yet Lord, with just a cursory look at the news we can see that this earth is marred by the effects of sin. There are wars, famines, diseases. We cry out to you on behalf of those who are suffering. And in particular, we lift up to you the people of California where lives have been lost and livelihoods ruined in the forest fires. May your compassion and comfort touch the bereaved, the dispossessed, and the frightened. Equip emergency services to work efficiently, may neighbours reach out to each other, and may people turn to you in repentance and faith. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
We bring before you our nation. We pray for the government, for local MPs and councillors and ask that they will rule wisely and in alignment with your will. In particular we bring before you the situation with Brexit. We pray that you will steer those in power to make decisions that are just and equitable. We ask you that members of parliament will put the good of our country above party politics and above personal gain. We pray that you will strengthen Christian MPs to remain truthful and faithful to you, and that their love for those who disagreewith their own views will be a shining light for the gospel. In Jesus' name, Amen.
We ask you to be with the children as they return to school. Allow them to experience the many blessings you put before them. Open their eyes to new challenges and exciting opportunities that the new term brings. Help them to be attentive to their teachers and all that they learn, Amen.
Please be with the people in our congregation and community as they go back to work. Help them to know what to do next with the gift of their work. Teach them to make wise decisions and to keep focused on the path you have set them on, Amen.
Heavenly Father, we lift to you our Christian brothers and sisters around the world who live with the constant threat of violence or injustice simply because of their faith in Jesus. Please be a shield to all who take refuge in You. Help those who have had to leave behind family, friends and all that is familiar, in order to make a fresh start, after violence or injustice; bless them in their new beginnings and keep them safe.
We praise You for those who endure injustice and imprisonment bravely for being a Christian, and still stay strong in their faith. Please continue to strengthen them and their families. We pray in Jesus name, Amen.

We pray for this Parish, and this Church. For all who come to praise your name, or to just find a way to be closer to you. We pray that you remind us everyday that we are all family in Christ, and to welcome each other as we would our closest friends. Amen
We pray for the Holiday Club and give you thanks, for how well it went. We praise you for the children who came to have fun and learn about you.
